Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Zifin (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users of zifin.app and the Zifin mobile application.

2. Description of Service

Zifin is a personal finance tracking tool that allows users to scan receipts, import bank statement CSV files, categorise transactions, set budgets, and view spending summaries. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Account Registration

To use Zifin you must create an account with a valid email address and phone number. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and current registration information.
• Keeping your password confidential.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. SMS Consent

By providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from Zifin containing one-time verification codes (OTP) for account security purposes. These are transactional messages. We do not send promotional or marketing SMS messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. You may withdraw consent by removing your phone number in Profile settings or by contacting support@zifin.app.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the security of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.
• Share your account credentials with others.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all financial data you upload or enter into Zifin. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

7. Receipt and Document Processing

Receipt images and bank statement files you upload are processed by AI-powered tools to extract transaction data. Extracted data is stored in your account. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all data will be extracted correctly. You should review all imported transactions before treating them as final records.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Zifin does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted financial data will be 100% accurate. Zifin is a tracking tool, not financial advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zifin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on data in the app.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@zifin.app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
